Student Membership

The Institute for Internal Controls (TheIIC) is committed to providing a comprehensive academic center for all students interested in the areas of internal controls, whether in the design and implementation of internal control systems, as well as in the ability to audit and evaluate internal controls and internal control systems and to assist students in their careers, whether as auditors, IT professionals or managers. 

TheIIC offers special low student membership fees to full-time students and allows students full access to TheIIC resources. Student Associate membership is open to undergraduate students enrolled in 9 semester hours (or equivalent), or graduate students enrolled in 6 semester hours (or equivalent) in an accredited college or university.

NOTE: Certified Members ARE NOT eligible for student membership.

TheIIC Student Chapter Information

The Institute for Internal Controls encourages the establishment of Student Chapter at Colleges/Universities where internal controls is part of the curriculum, whether as part of the accounting/auditing program, IT programs, or management program. TheIIC will assist the student chapter in providing educational materials including speakers, video training, etc. Members of the Student Chapters will be eligible for award of scholarships as dedicated by the Office of the Chairman and the Student Scholarship Committee.
